More pictures from RVA

One of the family rooms in Stephen's dorm - this one happens to be right next door to his room.  Fun!

Moving in to his dorm.  He's on the bottom bunk.

Is this sweet, or what?  The Dorm Dad gave Stephen his very last Dr. Pepper, as the store in Nairobi was out of them.

Buying a cell phone and adding minutes.

Reservations, anyone?

Or perhaps this one.....
Okay, before you freak:  we believe "hotel" actually means restaurant here.
We've noticed another language miscommunication thing -
"Saloon" means Beauty Shop.  I kept wondering why people offered pedicures at Saloons!  Finally figured it out......so funny.

Saw this quote on a wall of the hardware store where we bought
Stephen's phone.

For everyone who's ever heard this Cure International commercials on
the radio and wondered where they actually do their work.....here they are!

I think this is the Rugby field.  Or maybe the soccer field?  Or maybe both?  Our Texan friends will
be jealous of the GREEN nature of the grass!

Robert Frost (1874–1963).

 The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;        5

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,        10

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.        15

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The entrance to RVA.

Stephen with his Dad and Dorm Dad, just outside his dorm.

Saying goodbye.

I love the look on Ruthie's face in this picture!

Saying our last goodbyes, just before parents and family had to board the bus and leave our kids at RVA.  This pretty much sums up how I felt all week.  I love the patient look on Stephen's face:  "It's going to be okay, Mom."

I just wonder, WHERE has the time gone?  How are my kids so OLD?
