So, I think there is a saying out there......Old Youth Ministers never die, they just keep ordering more Event T-Shirts.
Okay, maybe that's not a saying. Maybe, just maybe, I made it up right now as I was typing in this blog.
Anyway, I mention this old, familiar saying (ahem) as a way of telling you, dear reader, that we have (drum roll, please) BERG FAMILY AFRICA T-Shirts available FOR SALE!
Yes, the old youth leader in me couldn't resist. Hey, a Mission Trip feels monumental, and every youth leader knows that anything monumental that ever happens, simply HAS to result in a T-Shirt being printed about it. RIGHT?
I ordered them a couple weeks ago, and they have arrived!
Here are some pictures of the shirts.
If anyone wants one, they are selling for $12 each ($15 each if I have to mail them to you) and they are available in S-M-L-XL and we even have a few in kids' sizes S-M-L. We are hoping they will help us raise money for our mission.
These pictures sure did show all the wrinkles of shipping......let's just say if you like them here, you'll LOVE them in real life. :-)
There are two designs, and two colors - kiwi green and sunset orange. Both designs come printed in each color. So, all total, there are 4 different type of shirts from which you could pick. One has a map of Africa on the front and a drawing of Africa (drawn by Sam) on the back. The other has a common Rwandan greeting on it, with words for "How are You?" on the front, and the words for "I am very well, thank you.", on the back. If you're curious, that is "Amakuru Ki?" and "Nimeza Cyane". (Thank you for the idea, NWHCM people!)
The greeting shirt has a slightly smaller version of Sam's picture on it as well. All the shirts also have our website typed on the back.
They look pretty cool, if I do say so myself! At the presentation last night, we sold 6 of them! Woo Hoo!
Here are some pictures of the shirts. If anyone wants one or more, please just let me know. You can swing by almost any time to pick one up, or we can meet you somewhere. If you are out of town, let me know you want one, and we can figure out how to get it to ya.
Thanks!
Forgot to mention....the shirts are Hanes tagless tees and are 100% cotton. Very soft and a pretty heavy, durable feeling shirt. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi! My name is Shea Preston and I am a teenager from Greenville, NC. I read a few of your blogs and I was wondering if I could purchase a couple of your t-shirts in support of ya'll, if that's okay!

ReplyDeleteOf course! We'd love that! Which do you want and what sizes?
ReplyDeleteIf you tell me your address and which ones you want, I will ship them to you! My daughter just reminded me we have a paypal acct. Would that be an easier way for you to buy them? Then I could ship to you? I'm thinking this would work best -- that way, if you don't get the shirts, you can ask for a refund from paypal. (But I promise, I will send the shirts! haha) Do you have an account with them? If not, you can just mail a check or whatever.
Thanks so much for following our blog! I am so honored! Maybe you can come on a mission trip with us sometime......
We used to live in Spartanburg, SC -- not too far from you, right? :-)
Hey Shea, I didn't really want to put my address on here, but couldn't find your email to send it that way.......Would you send that to me again, please? Thanks!
DeleteHi! I received the shirts yesterday! Thank you so much! What is your address so I can send the check?
