Down to the Wire!

This is Tim here and if I'm the one posting you know things are getting crazy :) Linda types  so much faster and has a lot more to say so she is usually the one designated to communicate. However, I just wanted to tell everyone how overwhelmed we have been with support during this crazy time: we have had graduation ceremony for Hannah, an incredible benefit piano concert and reception at our church, a hospital staff going away party, lots of phones calls, visitors and donations that have just buoyed us up with support!

We are down to the wire with packing, still purging and figuring out what exactly to take and what to leave behind. We are in CHAOS - the details of shutting the practice and packing the house dominate but there are zillion other things: getting the dogs set for their new owners, selling the truck, setting up bank wire, Power of attorney, paperwork  and documents for World Medical Mission, MTI, and Rift Valley Academy, shopping more passport photos yada,yada... you get the idea!

But, amidst the chaos, celebrating with our friends and family in the cracks, wishing we had it more together so we could spend some more precious moments together. As I said at a going away party last weekend, it kinda feels like its our funeral without having to die!

Our kids are really feeling the reality of leaving and saying goodbye and its hard for  us to experience that with them. Many of you know our children and have prayed for them specifically as they have their individual struggles- I promised them I wouldn't embarrass them with too many personal comments about them here :)
We too are starting to look back before we even leave and, if I'm are not careful, even I'll start getting all sentimental.

Only 10 DAYS  and we get on that plane, head to Colorado for cross cultural training at Missionary Training Institute and from there directly to Rwanda!
