A Busy Weekend.......

Wow, Monday should feel like a picnic after this weekend.  All of it was great stuff, but we did have quite a bit crammed into 2 days.  Hannah and Sam played at their last piano recital - well, Hannah's last high school recital, and both of their last recitals before Africa.  But, maybe we'll have some more recitals in Rwanda in our home -- who knows?  Both played beautifully.  I was a proud mama.

We all went out to Acapulco's Mexican Restaurant with some vouchers we'd purchased for a school fundraiser way back in October, to celebrate after the recital.  Even though we'd bought the vouchers, it still felt like a "free" dinner, since that was so long ago!

Later, Ruthie, Hannah and I drove down to the river, fed the geese and just walked around.  Ruthie and Hannah raced each other while I looked on and envied their energy.

This morning, our church held its annual Senior Recognition Sunday.  All the seniors process in with their caps and gowns, the sermon is mainly directed at them, afterwards we have a special lunch for them and each senior has a table with decorations and pictures from their lives on it.  It's a neat day.

Thanks for coming and sharing her special day, you two!
Then, right after the senior lunch, Stephen had his last guitar recital.  He played really well - my Dad joked with him that he'd had to sit through a lot of pretty bad recitals to get to hear this super good one.  :-)
I don't have a picture of this, only a movie, and I can't seem to get that to upload, so .... sorry no pictures of the guitar recital!

After all of that, we came home and took more passport pictures.  We already have our passports, so I'm not really sure why we needed more passport pictures - but it's something we have to turn in when we get to Rwanda, so we took them.  Then tonight, Hannah met with the other students with whom she is graduating to take some pictures with them.  It was a busy, full weekend - but it was all great stuff.

I'm looking forward to Monday, so we can slow down!  Ha!  (Okay, maybe not....but I can dream, right?)
