Texas Teammates - yahoo and amen!

We've been busy having fun the last two days. how awesome to be able to report that! We've been welcoming the Lands, and helping them with the various and sometimes confusing new steps of living in Rwanda.

It has made us realize how much we've adapted to Rwanda to help them! It seems like only yesterday when we were in their shoes,  trying to make sense of money exchange rates, food choices, and the like.

Today we are grocery shopping, setting up phones and exchanging money. Yesterday, we jumped through many hoops to obtain Stephanie's Rwandan nursing license.
What we thought would be a 5 minute job turned into a four hour adventure. Luckily, while Steph and I dd that, the men and kids were relaxing at a hotel pool that let's non-guests swim for a small fee. It was Brandon Land's 8 th birthday, so swimming was much better than chasing down a license!

This morning, Tim and I said goodbye to Stephen and Ruthie again, as they left for Kenya and RVA. I wonder if I'll ever get better at these good-byes.
