Sorry no posts for so long!

Here's just a quick post to say we are sorry we've been out of touch.  Our internet has been very, very slow - and we've just not been able to post!  This will have to be quick, but I will try to give a fast summary of the last week below, and then (I hope, I hope) will add in more detailed stories about each bullet point later this week when we have REAL internet in Kigali and Nairobi during our upcoming  travels.  Oh Joy! The thought of real internet just makes me SMILE!  :)

We leave first thing in the morning to take Stephen to Kenya, to enroll at RVA, Rift Valley Academy.  We are all very excited for him, but sad to see him go at the same time.

Prayers for traveling safety and also that Stephen would have an AWESOME year at RVA would be much appreciated!

The mechanics at the shop at the compound will miss Stephen.  He has taught English class to them every day since he's been here.  He and the guys in the shop have become good friends.

Ruthie has made a new friend here at the hospital.  His name is Deste.  He is a 4 year old, adorable orphan boy.  Ruthie has decided she is his new Mom.  When she met him, he was wearing a very dirty dress, and she thought he was a "she".  But, we soon learned differently, and Ruthie couldn't rest until we could go to the outdoor market and find some suitable clothes for her young man.  He is styling' now in his new duds!  Ruthie has also been buying shoes for shoeless folks at the market with her own money.  She's quickly becoming everyone's favorite Muzungu (white person or foreigner).

Daniel, our miracle boy who came "THIS" close to having his leg amputated, is doing so much better!  I will try to get Tim to post before and after pics (which may gross some of you out really badly!) of his skin graft which is healing very nicely.  Tim still is amazed at how well he has healed.  He still needs prayer, as his bone still might take a turn for the worse and not make it.  But, we are encouraged.  He is so precious to us all.

Daniel, with his soccer ball he won for EATING!
Jeannine, the lady with the horrible multiple breast abscesses, is also healing, and this is also feeling pretty miraculous.

Ruthie with all her hospital friends

Sam entertaining the hospital folks.

Ruthie has made bead necklaces and bracelets for over 100 patients.

We are so moved and touched and inspired by the faith of these people - they have such a childlike dependance on God to hear their prayers and to heal them.

Our family is doing well.  Our puppies keep making us laugh.  We are so thankful that God let us come here and is using us, broken pots that we are.  If anyone wants to come visit, we can put you to work, and you will be blessed beyond your wildest dreams.
