1. Yesterday, Tim's plan to do skin grafts on our friend, Daniel, didn't work. The tool he needed to use, called a Dermotone, wouldn't turn on. Can you say "frustrating"?? There is not another one, and nowhere to buy one. Tim, and the men in the car-fix-it area are going to try to take it apart this afternoon and see if they can get it working again. Of course, no one has any idea how to do this. Please pray that God will direct their minds and their eyes, and that somehow they can get this machine to work. If they can't, then Daniel's leg cannot be saved. Everything else has gone so well for his leg, so many miracles have already happened -- it would be so ironic, such a tragedy, if this stupid machine is what kept him from healing. Please pray they can fix it! And pray for sweet Daniel's faith. He is so sure that Tim can fix his leg, because he is so sure that God will help him do it. He believes that God sent Tim here just to help him. I do not want to let this boy down!
2. We need a new lightbulb for an endoscope. Maybe the doctors coming in September can bring one (or two or three). In the meantime, for the man who needed Tim to be able to see into his abdomen, please pray for another way to diagnose and treat his problem.
3. Please keep Tim, and all of us, in your prayers. Tim has a very hard job. Good thing he is such a gifted surgeon, and has such compassion and perseverance. (Please forgive my bragging.) But, without God's help, it is clear he can do nothing (John 15). Please keep him in your prayers, that he may represent God well here, glorify Him in all he does, and be used by God to restore health and give healing to many, despite the difficulties of faulty equipment and other challenges he faces.
"Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain."
Thanks for your prayers!
