Daniel's surgery went well!!

We still need to keep our little friend, Daniel, in all of our prayers, but wanted to let you know that his skin graft surgery went very well!  Please be praying that the skin grafts "take", and that his leg continues to heal.  As you can see from these pictures, he is in very good spirits!  Ruthie made him this sign, and he will earn stickers each time he eats a full meal.  He has lost a great deal of weight since coming to the hospital a month ago.  He has been so sick, he hasn't wanted to eat.  Also, we weren't aware that he didn't have much to eat.  That has been rectified now!  If he eats his whole meal ten times in a row, and earns 10 stickers, he will win a soccer ball - this was decided by Janet the red-headed nurse from Philly. 

More later!  I have so much more news......but no time right now to write!  Thanks to everyone for your prayers and encouraging emails and comments!!

Thanks to Ruthie for the sign, Janet for the motivational soccer ball and Pastor Joe Taylor for the hats!  As you can see, Joe, we are putting the hats to good use! :-)
