Happy New Year!
Tim just gathered the troops to give us a pep talk for the new year. This is going to be a rather challenging year for our family. Leaving our home, most of our things, our grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, schools and our dogs behind will likely shock our systems more than a bit. Moving across the world to a new culture, with new food, a new home, new people, a new home school environment - - yes, it will be challenging.
Tim reminded us we would need to be strong, and we wouldn't be strong without eating good food - good, solid, spiritual food. Life gets so busy, especially in the school year! He challenged us to each pick a place, a time and a method by which we can strive to feed on God's word every day this year.
Here's a few of the links he shared with us regarding that.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking I'll pick the Discipleship Journal Reading Plan. I like that it has a few "catch up" days every month. Not that I'd ever get behind or anything.....hahaha
I love reading these posts! They are so inspiring! You are about to embark on what would look like the hardest journey of your life, in giving up so many things and comforts, but God makes the cost worth it every time. To leave it all behind and to follow His call, to walk into the unknown and to trust Him...you will never regret these days...and you will look up to find that what you gave up has been replaced with what matters most...more of Jesus. I was jogging tonight and was filled with the desire to pray over your family and the upcoming trip and all I could do was smile because I truly believe that you will all gain something so valuable from this trip...treasures that last...treasures in Heaven. I love you all!!!
