Mom's Birthday

My mom turns 75 years young today. We are having a birthday lunch party for her in 2 1/2 hours! I am so looking forward to celebrating with her dear friends. Tim mentioned this morning that one nice thing about leaving, and knowing we are leaving months in advance, is we get the chance to savor every moment here. That's true, but I've always been a bit of a savor-er anyway. I try to take in every sentimental, sappy moment like it's the last drop of a delicious milkshake. But, he's right. Knowing we are leaving makes today more special than other birthdays. I hope it's a special lunch for my mom. More later......I have some flowers to arrange for the party!
